You belong to your father, the devil,\u00a0and you want to carry out your father\u2019s desires.\u201d John 8: 43-44<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Applying God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last week I wrote about how difficult it is to face the truth, tell the truth and live the truth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of my biggest obstacles to saying \u201cYes\u201d to Jesus was change. That meant the little white lies had to go along with so much more. Satan had convinced me that the way I was living was right. That was just another lie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unfortunately, we live in a world governed by people who tell lies. Jesus warns them about Satan, but they do not have ears to hear. They are hell-bent on carrying out the desires of their father, Satan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I love this quote from the Trappist monk, Thomas Merton. \u201cIn the devil&#8217;s theology, the important thing is to be absolutely right and to prove that everybody else is absolutely wrong.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Accounting of God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cChallenge\u201d Which theology am I following?
