Mike Schmitz. Our concern back on January 1, 2023 was that it would be boring and dry. A few words that describe our thoughts now, are: Anointed, Moving, Challenging, Powerful, Truthful, Amazing, Deep and Impactful.

The catechism presents Catholic doctrine within the context of the Church’s history and tradition. It consists of 2,865 paragraphs and over three thousand footnotes. It includes Sacred Scripture and liturgical texts that blessed us beyond measure. Written in a very positive style without an apologetic or argumentative tone, it’s divided into four major parts called the “Four Pillars”. The Pillars are the Creed (what the Church believes), the Sacraments (what the Church celebrates), the Commandments (what the Church lives), and the Our Father (what the Church prays).

Would we recommend the podcast “Catechism of the Catholic Church In A Year”? Yes. It will give any adult, Christian and/or Catholic, clarity about the Catholic Church and it’s teachings. Fr. Mike does an in depth summary of each section every day for 15 to 20 minutes. Please consider it.

https://www.youtube.com/@TheCatechismInAYear

PS.
