{"id":1152,"date":"2024-03-30T23:06:09","date_gmt":"2024-03-30T23:06:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.act-ministries.org\/blog\/?p=1152"},"modified":"2024-03-30T23:06:09","modified_gmt":"2024-03-30T23:06:09","slug":"a-dark-friday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.act-ministries.org\/blog\/?p=1152","title":{"rendered":"\u201cA Dark Friday\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Absorbing God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhat good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?\u201d Mark 8:36-38<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Applying God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Good Friday was dark for me as I reflected on Judas betrayal of Jesus. Betrayal not only played a key role in Jesus\u2019 death, it also plays a key role throughout the bible and in our own lives. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I know first-hand how cunning and powerful betrayal can be. I learned how to betray by being betrayed. I\u2019d love to apologize to folks who were hurt by my betrayal, but locating them is a problem. Therefore, I\u2019ve asked God to forgive me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Betrayal is still at work trying to destroy us, our relationship with God, our marriages, families, friendships, work, ministry and anything else in it\u2019s path. It\u2019s doing a pretty good job of destroying our world as well. Come Holy Spirit!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Accounting of God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Have I forgiven those who have betrayed me? Have I betrayed anyone?
