{"id":1198,"date":"2024-10-19T17:46:35","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T17:46:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.act-ministries.org\/blog\/?p=1198"},"modified":"2024-10-19T17:46:35","modified_gmt":"2024-10-19T17:46:35","slug":"whats-my-answer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.act-ministries.org\/blog\/?p=1198","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;What\u2019s My Answer?&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Absorbing God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBut what about you?\u201d He asked. \u201cWho do you say I am?\u201d Matthew 16:15<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Absorbing God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Recently, I listened to a challenging sermon on Matthew 16:15 where Jesus asks His disciples, \u201cWho do you say that I am?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jesus asks each one of us to answer that question. Do I believe Jesus is God because there\u2019s written evidence that He fulfilled something like 333 prophesies? Maybe I believe He\u2019s God because He performed hundreds of miracles and was resurrected from the dead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Psalm 22 which was written in 1000 BC or the 1947 discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls written in 600 BC are pretty convincing, too. In fact, the book of Isaiah chapter 53 is the same in the Dead Sea Scrolls as it is in the Bible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of the sermon the presenter said, \u201cIf I say Jesus is God, I am challenged to live differently.\u201d In other words, saying I believe is one thing and living what I believe is another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Accounting of God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>What\u2019s my answer?
