Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.\u201d Matthew 2:13-18<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Applying God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today I was reflecting on \u201cThe Holy Innocents\u201d, the children who died at the hands of Herod. Herod decided to kill all the baby boys under two years old in an attempt to eliminate Jesus. Mary, Joseph and Jesus escaped Herod\u2019s wrath, but most of the other infants in Bethlehem did not. It must have been a horrific scene; Mothers who were frantically trying to save the lives of their children .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This biblical account is not unique by any means. Children have been brutally victimized since the beginning of time. Today\u2019s world is no different. There\u2019s plenty of proof that innocent children are still being abused, abandoned, sold and martyred. Like the mothers of Jesus day, we should do everything we can to eliminate the suffering of a child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unfortunately, the stories about holy innocents will not end until Jesus returns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Accounting of God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Do I know of any children looking to be rescued or saved?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Absorbing God\u2019s Word \u201cWhen they had gone, an angel\u00a0of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream.\u00a0\u201cGet up,\u201d he said, \u201ctake the child and his mother and escape to Egypt.
