{"id":1237,"date":"2025-03-22T20:48:37","date_gmt":"2025-03-22T20:48:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.act-ministries.org\/blog\/?p=1237"},"modified":"2025-03-22T20:48:37","modified_gmt":"2025-03-22T20:48:37","slug":"lost-found-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.act-ministries.org\/blog\/?p=1237","title":{"rendered":"\u201cLost &amp; Found\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Absorbing God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMy son,\u2019 the father said, \u2018you are always with me, and everything I have is yours.\u201d Luke 15:31<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Applying God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The above scripture comes from the parable of the prodigal son (Luke 15: 11-32). It\u2019s one of my favorites, because I relate to both sons in the story. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Like the older son, I thought I had to earn my parents love and acceptance. I thought I had to earn God\u2019s love and acceptance as well. Like the younger son, I left home at an early age, joined the Navy and left all the Christian values I was raised with, behind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The father in this parable is God. He\u2019s merciful, kind, loving and forgiving. He waits patiently and prays that all of His children (You &amp; I) will wake up and return to Him. When we do, God will be there to assure all of us that everything He has is ours, especially His love and forgiveness.
