She is far more precious than jewels.\u201d Proverbs 31:10\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Applying God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Friday, May 23, 2025 marked 55 years that Joanne and I would have been married. In 2014, she fell out of my arms and into the arms of Jesus. Back then, to help recover emotionally I distributed some of Joanne\u2019s jewelry to our daughter and three granddaughters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of Joanne\u2019s rings had three equal sized diamonds, which I had the jeweler turn into three separate rings. Each granddaughter had to wait until their sixteenth birthday to receive their ring. A few days ago, my youngest granddaughter received the final ring. Accompanying each ring was a poem I wrote over Joanne\u2019s signature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>My First Diamond Ring<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe ring grandpa gave me, I wore on my hand, a reminder to us that our promise would stand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Three <strong>Gorges<\/strong> diamonds all the same size, lined in a row and a sight for sore eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019ve taken one stone from my special band, in hopes that you\u2019d wear it on your pretty hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Remember that promise I told you about? It was hard to keep but we lived it out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019re old enough for my diamond now, but with this ring comes a secret vow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To only settle for the very best mate.
