We shook hands and went to work. As we worked, I tried to engage Francis in conversation, but he just nodded and smiled. When we finally stopped for lunch, Reverend Francis Dorff broke his silence saying, \u201cI\u2019m sorry for not speaking. This is my first day back in the outside world. I\u2019ve been cloistered in silence for the last seven years.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was a humbling experience, but I\u2019ll never forget how kind, understanding and compassionate Rev. Fran was with me. He gave me one of his published books titled \u201cThe Art of Passing Over\u201d. I\u2019ve read and referenced that book multiple times.
