{"id":1310,"date":"2025-12-06T00:09:40","date_gmt":"2025-12-06T00:09:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.act-ministries.org\/blog\/?p=1310"},"modified":"2025-12-06T00:09:40","modified_gmt":"2025-12-06T00:09:40","slug":"keep-sanding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.act-ministries.org\/blog\/?p=1310","title":{"rendered":"\u00a0\u201cKeep Sanding\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Absorbing God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBlessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.\u201d Matthew 5:5<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Applying God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Jesus\u2019 definition of meek is a person who has power and chooses to exercise it with gentleness, humility, and patience for the good of others and for God&#8217;s glory. Father Mike Schmitz, says, \u201cMeekness is not thinking less of yourself, but thinking of yourself&nbsp;less\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Patience for the good of others isn\u2019t always one of my strengths. It\u2019s one of my weaknesses that annoy me the most. Growing up, I found myself getting impatient with my dad at times. My dad was a house painter. I begged him to let me paint, but he said, \u201cKeep sanding, son. You\u2019re an incredible sander.\u201d \u201cDad. I want to paint.\u201d \u201cYou will son. You will.\u201d \u201cWhen dad?\u201d My dad wasn\u2019t an educated man, but he taught me the importance of being patient and what it means to be a good support person. God\u2019s empowerment to be supportive through patience has impacted every aspect of my own life and the lives of many that God has asked me to support.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Accounting of God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhat annoys me most about some of my weaknesses?
