{"id":1318,"date":"2026-01-09T19:11:33","date_gmt":"2026-01-09T19:11:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.act-ministries.org\/blog\/?p=1318"},"modified":"2026-01-09T19:11:33","modified_gmt":"2026-01-09T19:11:33","slug":"missed-it","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.act-ministries.org\/blog\/?p=1318","title":{"rendered":"\u201cMissed It\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Absorbing God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cDo not be afraid;\u00a0do not be discouraged,\u00a0for the\u00a0Lord\u00a0your God will be with you wherever you go.\u201d Joshua 1:9<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Applying God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I lose sight of the above verse more often than I want to admit. God the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are with me always. It is I who decide to journey without them. If I don\u2019t start my day in God\u2019s presence, I forget that God is present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On January 1, 1996 I decided to adopt \u201cPrayer Journaling\u201d a love letter to God every morning after reading scripture. Afterall, the scriptures are God\u2019s love letters to me, right? At the end of that year, I silently gave myself a standing ovation for not missing a day of journaling. Therefore, I quit journaling all of 1997. Fortunately, I missed it so much, I resumed my daily love letters to God January 1, 1998.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On January 1, 2026 I wrote a love letter in my 30<sup>th<\/sup> prayer journal.
