I was not walking with the Lord at the time and I was very full of myself. I was good at what I did, knew what I wanted to accomplish and I marched to my own drumbeat.<\/p>\n<p>We have a tendency to come full circle, huh? I\u2019m seventy years old now and many of my customers are in their mid-thirties. It\u2019s like looking in a mirror. I see little clones of myself running here and there, texting, multi-tasking, driving 90MPH in a 65MPH zone.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, I told a customer what they needed to hear and not what they wanted to hear. The president of the company, in his thirties, didn\u2019t agree with what I advised. Without hesitation, he moved his business to an advisor who would accommodate his wishes.<\/p>\n<p>After forty years of doing what I do, I am certain my former customer will experience a financial setback. Many of us have learned by our mistakes, having not accepted good advice. Being open to good advice, however, can often eliminate eating the fruit of our ways.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Accounting of God&#8217;s Word<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Am I open to good advice from those around me?
