{"id":516,"date":"2017-02-17T23:59:09","date_gmt":"2017-02-17T23:59:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.act-ministries.org\/blog\/?p=516"},"modified":"2017-02-17T23:59:09","modified_gmt":"2017-02-17T23:59:09","slug":"ephesians-113-14-guarantees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.act-ministries.org\/blog\/?p=516","title":{"rendered":"Ephesians 1:13-14 &#8211; \u201cGuarantees\u201d ?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Absorbing God&#8217;s Word<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God\u2019s possession\u2014to the praise of his glory.\u201d Ephesians 1:13-14<\/p>\n<p><strong>Applying God&#8217;s Word<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I remember when a person could guarantee something by a handshake or their word. Guarantees are rarely given without some sort of proof, a holding deposit, a driver\u2019s license, or a signed contract. Recently, I placed a 7% deposit down on a new home and then another 25% deposit down for upgrades. The paperwork I had to sign as a guarantee was crazy.<\/p>\n<p>The above scripture offers us a guarantee of God\u2019s Holy Spirit and a deposit on our inheritance. I guess the question is, \u201cDo we believe and trust God?\u201d I have to say that I really did not have 100% belief until I experienced the indwelling power of His Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n<p>Now I believe God\u2019s promises and guarantees. God\u2019s contract is His written \u201cWord\u201d. His guarantee is the seal of His Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Accounting of God&#8217;s Word<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Do I believe God\u2019s word?
