{"id":550,"date":"2017-07-20T16:27:24","date_gmt":"2017-07-20T16:27:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.act-ministries.org\/blog\/?p=550"},"modified":"2017-07-20T16:27:24","modified_gmt":"2017-07-20T16:27:24","slug":"july-24-2017-acts-189-secret-agents","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.act-ministries.org\/blog\/?p=550","title":{"rendered":"July 24, 2017 &#8211; Acts 18:9 \u2013 \u201cSecret Agents\u201d ?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Absorbing God&#8217;s Word<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision:\u00a0\u201cDo not be afraid;\u00a0keep on speaking, do not be silent.\u201d Acts 18:9<\/p>\n<p><strong>Applying God&#8217;s Word<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Lord is speaking these same words to you and me, also.<\/p>\n<p>I used to think it was possible to be in love with Jesus and remain silent about it. Initially, my intent was to get holy, but do it silently. God is not looking for secret agents. God is looking for voices that will share the good news about Him.<\/p>\n<p>It is easier to be a hearer of the word, but not a doer of the word. I still catch myself stepping backwards, when God asks for volunteers. Saying \u201cYes\u201d to Jesus is not always easy, but after we fall in love with Him it\u2019s even harder to tell Him \u201cNo\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Writing the &#8220;Challenge&#8221; can be frightening, too. More often than not, I don&#8217;t know what God is going to ask me to write. Some weeks there is absolutely nothing in the\u00a0&#8220;Tank&#8221;. I\u2019ve become so dependent on Him. That&#8217;s what it&#8217;s all about though, huh? God is really asking us to move past our fear, keep speaking and never be silent about Him.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Accounting of God&#8217;s Word<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Do I love Jesus enough to tell someone?
