He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.&#8221; James 5:14<\/p>\n<p><strong>Applying God&#8217;s Word<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is one of the worst flu seasons since 2009, evidently. We know many people who are sick with various problems. We can&#8217;t always get someone to an elder of a church when they\u2019re sick. We must allow God to speak prayers through us, during those times and have faith that He hears us.<\/p>\n<p>Louise and I have asked God to place a hedge of protection around all those we know close and afar who are sick right now. We have a friend in his eighties who is struggling with heart failure. We have a niece\u2019s 2o year-old brother-in-law who is fighting for his life because of the flu. Six or seven of his Christian friends went to the hospital to pray over him.<\/p>\n<p>I ask that you might pray for Loren and Jonathon, also.<\/p>\n<p>We are praying for all of you and your families.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Accounting of God&#8217;s Word<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Who is God asking us to anoint with oil and pray over?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Absorbing God&#8217;s Word \u201cIs any one of you sick?
