Unless I go away, the Advocate\u00a0will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.\u201d \u00a0John 16:7<\/p>\n<p><strong>Applying God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As a close friend to Jesus, can you imagine having Him tell you He must leave, but that He would be sending a replacement to be with you. This is what the disciples were hearing and attempting to digest. Waiting for proof must have been agonizing. They want to know if Jesus is the biggest liar they have ever met or God.<\/p>\n<p>I used to hear the scriptures read at church and roll my eyes, thinking this stuff couldn\u2019t possibly be true. It seemed to be anything but believable. I kept waiting for Jesus to show up and prove His existence. He did show up in my life repeatedly, but unfortunately, I didn\u2019t recognize Him as God.<\/p>\n<p>God pursues each of us every day. He is the one doing the waiting. He\u2019s waiting for us to believe He\u2019s who He says He is; God.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Accounting of God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Am I still waiting for proof?
