{"id":621,"date":"2018-05-15T22:24:47","date_gmt":"2018-05-15T22:24:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.act-ministries.org\/blog\/?p=621"},"modified":"2018-05-15T22:24:47","modified_gmt":"2018-05-15T22:24:47","slug":"john-2021-22-me-of-little-faith","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.act-ministries.org\/blog\/?p=621","title":{"rendered":"John 20:21-22  &#8211;  \u201cMe Of Little Faith\u201d ?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Absorbing God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAgain, Jesus said,\u00a0\u201cPeace be with you!\u00a0As the Father has sent Me,\u00a0I am sending you.\u201d\u00a0And with that He breathed on them and said,\u00a0\u201cReceive the Holy Spirit.\u201d John 20:21-22<\/p>\n<p><strong>Applying God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Admittedly, the words \u201cReceive the Holy Spirit\u201d can give a person cause to pause. I remember them being a concern to me, but the reward outweighed the risk.<\/p>\n<p>The empowerment of God\u2019s Holy Spirit can be enticing, but all I wanted was a deeper relationship with Jesus. I wanted God\u2019s peace, but I didn\u2019t want to be sent anywhere. I was a man of little faith.<\/p>\n<p>Seeking a friendship with Jesus has not only strengthened my faith it opened me to receive His Holy Spirit and to be sent out.<\/p>\n<p>This is Pentecost Sunday and the end of the Easter Season. I am asking God for more of His Holy Spirit, a greater \u201cBoldness\u201d in witnessing to others and a tireless attitude for doing His work.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Accounting of God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Have I allowed God\u2019s Holy Spirit to penetrate my heart and soul?
