{"id":626,"date":"2018-06-09T02:22:11","date_gmt":"2018-06-09T02:22:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.act-ministries.org\/blog\/?p=626"},"modified":"2018-06-09T02:22:11","modified_gmt":"2018-06-09T02:22:11","slug":"matthew-725-dancing-in-the-rain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.act-ministries.org\/blog\/?p=626","title":{"rendered":"Matthew 7:25  &#8211;  \u201cDancing In The Rain\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Absorbing God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.\u201d Matthew 7:25<\/p>\n<p><strong>Applying God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On our guest bathroom wall, there is a great quote: \u201cLife is not about waiting for the storm to pass; it\u2019s about learning to Dance in the rain.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve encountered all kinds of storms in my own life. Most of those storms came when I least expected them. When I was young, I would self-medicate with alcohol, during the storm. Unfortunately, each storm I was trying to get through became even more complicated by using alcohol. I also didn\u2019t know back then that flying solo through a storm was not only dangerous, but stupid. Wisdom finally showed up and convinced me that my way of surviving storms did not work.<\/p>\n<p>I know that more storms are ahead of me.
