In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.\u201d 1 Peter 1:3<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Applying God\u2019s Word<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I used to complain about the forty days of Lent, but loved Easter Sunday. Then, I found out that the Easter season lasted another 50 days. \u201cWhat? Ninety days in total?\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All those years, I was missing the best part. I focused more on Jesus death than I did His resurrection or the time leading up to Pentecost Sunday. Easter isn\u2019t one Sunday out of the year. Easter is three hundred and sixty-five days long.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was the Easter season of 1987, when I recommitted my life to daily prayer and invited the Holy Spirit to play an active role in my life. Easter started for me back then and has lasted ever since.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Accounting of God\u2019s Word<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Is Easter over for me, already? Am I missing the best part of Easter?
