{"id":810,"date":"2020-06-07T02:08:56","date_gmt":"2020-06-07T02:08:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.act-ministries.org\/blog\/?p=810"},"modified":"2020-06-07T02:08:56","modified_gmt":"2020-06-07T02:08:56","slug":"wheres-the-love","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.act-ministries.org\/blog\/?p=810","title":{"rendered":"\u201cWhere\u2019s The Love?\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Absorbing God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cBut the fruit&nbsp;of the Spirit is love,&nbsp;joy,\npeace,&nbsp;forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,&nbsp;gentleness and\nself-control.\u201d Galatians 5:22-23&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Applying God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the \u201cGifts\u201d of the Holy\nSpirit are real, we will experience God\u2019s love when they manifest. We will also\nwitness God\u2019s love in the fruit that His gifts produce. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">God\u2019s love is still very much\nalive, but self-centeredness and indifference continue to be major obstacles to\nits effectiveness. It reminds me of a story: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once upon a time a community\nof loving monks lived and worked together. God\u2019s love impacted all of them and\neveryone in the land. Years went by though and that loving reputation dwindled\nalong with their numbers. The Abbot called on the wisdom of a good friend and\nRabbi. He asked \u201cWhat do you see as our problem?\u201d The Rabbi told the Abbot,\n\u201cYour monks have become unloving and indifferent.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I sense that our world\nresembled the story above, prior to Covid19. If anything can save the day, it\nwould be God\u2019s love. He\u2019s used it again and again from the beginning of time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Accounting of God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Am I loving or unloving right\nnow?
