{"id":877,"date":"2021-01-15T20:25:19","date_gmt":"2021-01-15T20:25:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.act-ministries.org\/blog\/?p=877"},"modified":"2021-01-15T20:25:19","modified_gmt":"2021-01-15T20:25:19","slug":"unforgettable","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.act-ministries.org\/blog\/?p=877","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Unforgettable&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Absorbing God Word<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cFor God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.\u201d John 3:16<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Applying God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two weeks ago, God\u2019s \u201cChallenge\u201d was to really know Him not just know about Him. Last week His \u201cChallenge\u201d was to look at the things that keep us separated from Him and to ask His forgiveness. This week, God\u2019s \u201cChallenge\u201d is for us to receive His forgiveness and His love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Believing in God hasn\u2019t always been easy for me. Believing that God loved me was even more difficult. I was bullied throughout my childhood and molested twice by two different people before the age of nine. I thought if there was a God, He didn\u2019t like me very much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When I did finally open the door to receiving God\u2019s love, it came in like a flood. It was overwhelming and something I will never forget. I repented of my sin, and said, \u201cI want You to be part of my life, Lord.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today is an invitation for each of us to say \u201cYes\u201d to Jesus. For some it may be the first time. For others it may be an opportunity to renew our original promise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Accounting of God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Have I truly surrendered my life to Jesus?
