{"id":894,"date":"2021-03-28T02:26:47","date_gmt":"2021-03-28T02:26:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.act-ministries.org\/blog\/?p=894"},"modified":"2021-03-28T02:26:47","modified_gmt":"2021-03-28T02:26:47","slug":"the-old-cherokee","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.act-ministries.org\/blog\/?p=894","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;The Old Cherokee&#8221;?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Absorbing God Word<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis is the message we have heard\u00a0from him and declare to you: God is light;\u00a0in him there is no darkness at all.\u00a0If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness,\u00a0we lie and do not live out the truth.\u201d\u00a01 John 1:5-6<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Applying God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once upon a time an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said the battle is between 2 wolves. One is Evil and one is Good. The grandson asked his grandfather, \u201cWhich wolf wins?\u201d The grandfather simply replied, \u201cThe one you feed.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I know what it\u2019s like to lie or to not live out the truth. Before God got a hold of me, I lived a lie. No one likes admitting that they lie, but look at our world. If I lie to myself, I probably won\u2019t have any trouble telling others a lie. My personal lie impacts everything I do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The truth starts with me and then weaves its way into the fabric of everything I do or don\u2019t do and say or don\u2019t say. If I want the good wolf to win, I have to feed him the truth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Accounting of God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Am I walking in the dark or in the light?
