{"id":896,"date":"2021-04-02T21:23:19","date_gmt":"2021-04-02T21:23:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.act-ministries.org\/blog\/?p=896"},"modified":"2021-04-02T21:23:19","modified_gmt":"2021-04-02T21:23:19","slug":"apostasy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.act-ministries.org\/blog\/?p=896","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Apostasy&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Absorbing God Word<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAt that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other,\u00a0and many false prophets\u00a0will appear and deceive many people.\u201d\u00a0Matthew 24:10-11<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Applying God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apostasy is An act of refusing to continue to follow, obey, or recognize a religious faith; the abandonment of a previous loyalty: DEFECTION!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some say the \u201cGreat Apostasy\u201d is happening around the world right now. It\u2019s not about the folks who don\u2019t believe in Jesus. It\u2019s about those who used to, but have moved away from believing in Him and His truth. There\u2019s a hefty price to pay for doing that, though. It\u2019s called \u201cHell\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If I want to know the truth about anything, I am very careful to fact-check the source, that is the people claiming to speak or teach truth. Most of my sources can be found right in the bible. The best source that I\u2019ve come across in the last 35 years is Jesus. His truth has never changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Accounting of God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Have I drifted away from God\u2019s truth? Do I only rely on what my itching ears want to hear?
