You give them something to eat.\u201d Matthew 14:16<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Applying God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As a young boy, I tried not to get too excited about Christmas. My dad was a painting contractor and Christmas came during a season when work was minimal. That meant we may not get the one gift we wished for at Christmas or that Christmas dinner might not meet our expectations.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This Christmas wont\u2019 be very merry for the many folks struggling to find ways to feed their families, so God prompted Louise, me, and a dozen other volunteers to do a Christmas food drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The people in our community brought loads of food as well as monetary donations, which allowed us to provide over 20,000 meals for families throughout the county. Our contributions were then graciously matched by an unknown donor that then doubled the total being donated to the Contra Costa Food Bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIf you can\u2019t feed a hundred people, then feed just one.\u201d Mother Teresa<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Accounting of God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Who is God asking me to feed this Christmas?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Absorbing God Word \u201cJesus replied,\u00a0\u201cThey do not need to go away.
