Applying God’s Word
I know what it is to bend the truth. It’s not as though I enjoy telling a lie. I stayed very close to the truth for the first 17 years of my life, but broke away from living the truth in the Navy. I used lies as a defense mechanism and a method to gain acceptance with others who lied.
I was in my early thirties when I realized that my life was a lie. I had become the person I never wanted to be. Something had to change and I knew it was me. I couldn’t have done that without allowing God’s WORD to dissect and mold me into the person He wants me to be. That process is ongoing.
When I read the word of God, I take it very personal. I ABSORB IT, I APPLY IT and I am ACCOUNTABLE TO IT. That is how I am ending 2022 and the way I am beginning 2023.
