“Losing Someone”

Absorbing God’s Word

“Where have you laid him?” he asked. “Come and see, Lord,” they replied. Jesus wept.” John 11:34-35

Applying God’s Word

I can’t count the times I’ve begged God through my tears to heal someone. Sometimes, He has healed them. At other times He has given me extended time with them.

I’m very sure that Jesus mourns when we mourn. Look at His love for Lazarus. That miracle was the beginning of the end for Jesus. It cost Him His life. Love does cost, doesn’t it? It hurts when we are not indifferent and we care enough to cry out to God for someone we love.

To love can hurt, but to live life without love is not life at all.

If you’ve lost someone, you will appreciate this 20-minute sermon by Fr. Mike.

Accounting of God’s Word
