“And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined.” Mark 2: 22
Applying God’s Word
It was 1987 and I was overflowing with the joy that comes to us through a new and growing friendship with Jesus. My soul was cleansed by my willingness to repent and ask God’s forgiveness. My biggest sin was that I had ignored God for so long.
I remember the rush of excitement in those first few years of being with Jesus. To my amazement, He was using me in ways that shocked me. My old self would not have been able to receive what God was pouring into me. I wouldn’t have recognized it as God had I not invited Him into my life.
The relationship continues to be exciting. He still requires me to be clean inside so that what He pours into me will not be ruined.

Am I keeping myself clean for Jesus? Will all that He pours into me keep from being ruined?
