“Tepid Water” ?

Philippians 4:6-7 “Tepid Water” ?

Absorbing God’s Word

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

Applying God’s Word

We refer to them as anxiety attacks and we are hearing that more and more people are suffering from them, especially young adults.

The pressure to succeed, today, is different from any other generation. The expectations placed on our young, are beyond ridiculous. Sadly, those expectations can destroy a life overnight. No one even sees it coming. It’s like placing a frog in tepid water and bringing it to a slow boil. Eventually the frog dies.

Louise and I have different categories listed on our daily prayer list and one of them is Anxiety/Depression. We’ve noticed that the list of names under this category keeps growing. Most of the names are young adults in high school or college.

Please join us in praying for them. “We break your assignment of anxiety and depression Satan and any other weapons of oppression that you try to use on our youth. We pray this in the precious name of Your son, Jesus. Amen”

Accounting of God’s Word

Are my expectations too high for the young people closest to me? When they are around me, do they experience the anxiety of the world or God’s peace?
