“Had Your Shots?”

Absorbing God Word

“Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?” Matthew 6:27

Applying God’s Word

A couple months ago the question of the day was, “Are you signed up to get your shots yet?”.  A month ago the question of the day was, “Did you get your first shot yet?”. Now the question of the day is, “Have you had both shots yet?”.  My answer is always the same, “I haven’t had the shots and I doubt I’m going to get them”.

The reactions of those asking me, are varied. Some back away from me like I have the plague while others want to engage in a debate over the subject matter.

I’ve done a lot of reading on Covid19, as well as the so-called vaccines. I believe there are risks either way. Each of us should weigh those risks based on our individual beliefs and make an informed choice.

Am I concerned about dying from Covid19? I’m as concerned about it as I am about dying from anything. Am I worried? I am not. I know that worrying won’t add a single hour to my life.

Accounting of God’s Word

When weighing/determining personal risks, is the motivating force in my decision making process fear or faith?
