Applying God’s Word
We are not our own, are we. If we belong to Jesus, it’s important to say and do what would please him. That would include the books we read and the programs we watch.
By now, many of you have heard about the new series depicting the ministry of Jesus as seen through the eyes of Jesus followers. It’s called “The Chosen”. Louise and I have watched all the episodes from the first two years, and we are watching them all over again. We are enjoying them even more the second time.
The Chosen is the highest viewer-funded media project in history, with over nineteen thousand supporters giving over ten million dollars. It’s been viewed over 200 million times in 180 countries. Like most TV dramas, each episode adds details, storylines, and characters that are not necessarily mentioned in the Bible. However, it does accurately depict biblical and historical events.
