Applying God’s Word
Back in the mid 1970’s I was a journeyman lineman for Pacific Gas and Electric Co. in California. I loved what I was doing, even though it was very dangerous. The scariest parts of the job were working storms. We worked through the night to restore power and we did it on tall poles in high winds and pouring rain. Every now and again a resident would come out and thank us and that’s what made it all worthwhile.
This year has been an extremely difficult year for peacemakers from all walks of life, especially medical personnel, fire fighters or those in law enforcement. We rarely hear about all the dangers they incur while protecting each of us and/or our property.
On Christmas Eve, good friends sent the attached video. I’m sure some of you have seen it already, but it’s worth a second look. It brought tears to my eyes each time I watched it.
