Absorbing God’s Word
“Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” And with that, he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” John 20:21-22
Applying God’s Word
Louise and I have come to know that we cannot out-give God. The most important thing we have ever given is permission for Jesus to breathe His Holy Spirit into us. By doing so, we find ourselves empowered to give in the name of Jesus.
This week, Louise prayed with a man who shared with her that he is battling cancer. The next day she bought a young homeless man lunch and some cleans clothes.
Last night I attended a Healing Service and prayed with a man going in for surgery to have a growth removed from his back. He said he could feel the heat from my hands penetrating the area where the growth was. I say was, because I believe the growth is gone now.
Years ago, I only wanted to receive God’s “Peace”. He wants way more for me/you, though. He wants us to receive His Holy Spirit in order to give it to others. We cannot give what we have not received.
Receive it! Come Holy Spirit!

Have I received the Holy Spirit? Am I allowing the Holy Spirit to use me for His glory?
