Applying God’s Word
Louise and I are in Palm Desert to participate in the National Christians in Commerce Conference.
It will be a time of prayer, worship and fellowship with men and women from across the country. It will be an opportunity to seek God with all our hearts.
This is what Ethel Barrett says about seeking God in prayer. “If we realized how often Jesus thinks of us, we would be absorbed with thinking of Him.” That’s a powerful image for me…….to be absorbed in a conversation with God.
Some say that prayer is a dialogue between God and us; a bridge between the human life and the spiritual life. I say that prayer is to my soul, what oxygen is to my body. When I pray it is no longer I praying to God, but rather His Spirit interceding through me.
Accounting of God’s Word
Is prayer a means of pursuing a deeper relationship with Jesus or a time to express all of my wants? How important is it for me to spend time with God?
