Ephesians 6:10-11 – “Fight”?

Absorbing God’s Word

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” Ephesians 6:10-11

Applying God’s Word

If I sign on to follow Jesus thinking that I am going to live without being attacked by the devil, I will experience huge discouragement. Satan’s mission is to take us out of the game; to pull us away from Jesus. He will try to crush us financially, physically, emotionally and spiritually. He is relentless. So, we must be relentless in attacking back.

When Satan turns up the heat in our lives, it’s not God who throws in the towel or abandons the fight. God empowers us to fight the enemy personally.

Each morning I pray against the attack of Satan knowing quite well that he is not going to make life easy. I pray, “I rebuke you Satan and all your demon angels. I break fellowship with you and any assignment you may have to draw me away from Jesus. I break your power and place a shield of protection around me, my family and friends.”

I am praying continuously against the grips, temptations and attacks of Satan. We are called by God to do this and never give up the fight.

Accounting of God’s Word

Do I only believe in God? Do I believe Satan is real? Do I just believe in good and not evil? Is God trying to hurt me or is it Satan?
