Proverbs 31:10-31 – “Great Mom’s”?

Absorbing God’s Word

Read Proverbs, Chapter 31 Verses 10 through 31. It’s a lengthy scripture, but below I’ve tried to personalize it for Mother’s Day.

Applying God’s Word

Great women make great mom’s. They are worth far more than diamonds. God trusts them completely, without regret. Great moms draw close to God, treat Him generously and with much love. They make sure their families have everything they need. They are like trading ships that sail to faraway places and return full of surprises. They get up early in the morning, preparing breakfast for their family and help with organizing everyone’s day. They are not afraid to roll up their sleeves in preparation for the workday ahead. They know what needs to be done and they do it. Everyone admires their work ethic and realizes that the word “QUIT” does not exist in their vocabulary. Great moms are very good at homemaking and try to pass that value on to their children. They are the type of women who are quick to assist anyone in need and love reaching out to the less fortunate. When they speak, they have something worthwhile to say and know how to say it kindly. They face each day with a smile. They make sure their families stay busy and productive, too. Great moms should be loved and respected by their families every day of the year; not just on Mother’s Day. The world is filled with many wonderful moms who have done great things, but our own mom is still the best in our eyes! Our mom is admired and praised by us, because she truly demonstrates the love of God.

Happy Mother’s Day. Thank You Lord, for giving us “Great Mom’s.

Accounting of God’s Word

What can I do for my mom this Mother’s Day? A thank you letter, perhaps?
