“Another disciple said to him, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father. But Jesus told him, “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.” Matthew 8:21&22

Applying God’s Word

What he’s saying to me is, “Jack. Make me and my purpose for you a priority. Bring me into every aspect of your life. Nothing else is as important.

Okay. I fail miserably at this, when I allow the slightest distance between Jesus and me.

Louise and I hold one another accountable in prayer each morning. It doesn’t mean that our day will somehow be better, but we do a better job of handling our day when it starts in prayer.

Accounting of God’s Word

Have I strayed from my intimacy with Jesus? Who is holding me accountable? Am I too busy to follow Jesus?
