2 Corinthians 11:3 – “Suicide” ?

Absorbing God’s Word

But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ.” 2 Corinthians 11:3

Applying God’s Word

Most of us have lost folks that we know and love, through the act of suicide. Will we see them in heaven? Some think it depends on whether the act of suicide is done by a believer or non-believer.

Suicide is considered murder, which is like any serious sin. So, what if a person, devoted to Christ, murders someone and then dies suddenly without having a chance to repent? Do they go to heaven?

I’ve walked with suicidal people; people with minds led astray from Jesus either through depression or some form of chemical imbalance. Many of them struggle 24/7 while others have given in to suicide. My job is to love them and let God take care of the rest.

Accounting of God’s Word

Am I praying and loving those who are depressed and/or suicidal? Have I distanced myself from those who need God’s grace, love and hope the most?
