“One Hundred Years”

Absorbing God’s Word

“Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity.” Colossians 4:5

Applying God’s Word

Happy New Year. Many of us have already made a mental list of goals for 2020.

I’m starting this year with a renewed commitment in my relationship with Jesus; daily scripture, prayer and journaling. I asked the Lord to forgive my shortcomings over the last twelve months. I renewed my promise to rebuke Satan and all sin. I recognized Jesus once again as my Lord and Savior and asked Him to bless me with a greater outpouring of His Holy Spirit.

This renewed commitment will allow me to be a better/wiser witness for Jesus, this next year. Being a witness for Jesus is not always done audibly. More times than not, others are drawn to a relationship with Jesus because of how we act toward them.

How we treat others this year may be the reason Christianity thrives over the next one hundred years. Not many of the people who are alive today will be here in 3020. Let’s make the most of every opportunity.

Accounting of God’s Word

Do my goals for 2020 include God? Will I be a witness for Him?
