“500 Miles”

Absorbing God Word

“Some men came, bringing to him a paralyzed man, carried by four of them. Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on.” Mark 2:1-12

Applying God’s Word

I love this story in Mark. It demonstrates the powerful love of God between five men. A paralyzed man is called to be healed by Jesus. Four of the man’s friends are called to make sure nothing gets in the way of that happening.

There’s another true story of a paralyzed man called to make the 500-mile pilgrimage across the Camino De Santiago in northern Spain. Justin’s lifelong friend, Patrick, feels called to make sure nothing gets in the way of that happening.

Their heartwarming story teaches that life is not defined by its limitations, but by what is accomplished despite those limitations along with strong faith.

The link to the overview with these two great Christian men is below. You’ll need some Kleenex. The movie of their 500-mile journey is out now. It’s titled “I’ll Push You”.

Accounting of God’s Word
