“Daniel’s Table”

Absorbing God Word

“Please test your servants for ten days: Give us nothing but vegetables to eat and water to drink.” Daniel 1:12

Applying God’s Word

Some think that the book of Daniel is pushing a vegetarian diet. However, it speaks more to the rebellion of Daniel and his friends toward the authority of Nebuchadnezzar.

Recently, Louise and I had a fabulous meal at a restaurant called Daniel’s Table, located in Cathedral City of all places. Daniel is the owner and chef. Everything Daniel serves is farm to table and the variety of fresh vegetables are out of this world.

We noticed a cross hanging right above the kitchen and told Daniel we appreciated knowing that God had a presence there. That brought about an anointed conversation between Daniel and us of how God’s presence is everywhere we go and in everything we do.

After an incredible meal, Daniel, his wife, son, and our server came over to where we were sitting, so we could hold hands and pray together. Having a chef come out of the kitchen to pray with us is a first for Louise and I. We definitely plan to return to Daniel’s Table.

Accounting of God’s Word

Am I noticing God’s presence wherever I go and in everything I do?
