Matthew 20:21 – “Visions Of Grandeur”?

Absorbing God’s Word

“What is it you want?” he asked. She said, “Grant that one of these two sons of mine may sit at your right and the other at your left in your kingdom.” Matthew 20: 21

Applying God’s Word

One of the first things I was taught in sales was that if you don’t “ASK” the answer is automatically “NO”.

The mother of James and John doesn’t just have visions of grandeur. She is brave enough to ask Jesus, on her son’s behalf, for two of the best seats in His kingdom. Interestingly, she doesn’t ask for herself.

We should all want to be that close to Jesus in the next life. We don’t have to wait until then, though. We can snuggle up to Him right now. That may not buy us a front row seat in heaven, but it may just get us inside the gate. ;>)

For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Matthew 7:8

Accounting of God’s Word

Am I asking, seeking and knocking?
