Applying God’s Word
I’m pretty sure that everyone receives urgings from the Holy Spirit. Some would say they never have, but only because their spiritual antennas are not tuned into God’s signals. ;>)
I was enjoying light conversation with a small group of new friends. One woman was sharing some struggles her son is going through. The woman asked everyone to pray for her son.
I felt the Holy Spirit ask me to pray for her son right then and there. It was an uncomfortable situation; especially among a group of folks I was just getting to know.
I balked, at first, but the urging came again. I broke into prayer, which brought all of us into the presence of God.
