Applying God’s Word
Today is Mother’s Day weekend. Finally, a chance to appreciate our families, our childhoods, and our mothers. That won’t be true for millions of children who have been captured and sold into child trafficking. It’s known as Modern-Day Slavery.
I’d heard about child trafficking, but I didn’t realize that it is the second biggest illegal activity in the world, sandwiched between drugs and arms dealing. It was also hard for me to believe that there’s a child sex party every weekend in most large cities throughout America.
Enter Tim Ballard who left his post as a special agent for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to go undercover and rescue child sex trafficking victims.
There’s a movie out about Tim’s life, called “Sound of Freedom”. The movie was produced to heighten the world’s awareness about child sex trafficking. Jim Caviezel, who played Jesus in the Passion, plays Tim Ballard in the movie.
As we sit in the comfort of our homes enjoying Mother’s Day, let’s make time to pray for those children and their mothers who won’t be together this weekend.

Will I help heighten the awareness of child sex trafficking? Will I pray that doom rushes upon these soldiers of Satan?
